Full-stack .NET engineer on a large-scale digital transformation programme for the Belgian Immigration Office (DVZ), building the platform that supports residence and immigration case handling. Backend domain logic, database evolution and the Angular front end, in a codebase with strict availability and data-integrity requirements.
- Design and implement backend features in .NET on Azure (AKS, API Management, App Services, ACR), including complex domain features such as historical stays.
- Lead database schema migrations and data cleanup on a live system, coordinating breaking changes across API contracts and front end.
- Drive code-quality initiatives: warning reduction, contract-first API client generation with Orval/OpenAPI, and reduction of long-standing technical debt.
- Improve CI/CD throughput and reliability, including test-strategy changes on pull requests and selective test execution to cut team feedback time.
- Introduce and standardise AI-assisted development tooling (Claude, Copilot, Cursor) within the team's workflow.
